Sam Dakin is responsible for the ongoing development of the Risk and Compliance markets for the firm. He is spearheading the firm’s innovative approach to client development and candidate management, and will be particularly focused on growing these platforms across Asia Pacific.  He has a strong track record of advising chief risk officers and heads of compliance on the attraction and retention of senior personnel and has successfully led risk management and compliance search assignments for private banks, asset managers, corporate, retail and investment banks, and ratings agencies in Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore and China.

Sam began his executive search career in the City of London in 2005. He initially covered senior level banking finance recruitment, placing qualified accountants into investment banks. After three years, he moved internally to build a risk and compliance division for the firm. Sam has lived in Asia since early 2010. He was originally based in Hong Kong with Aquis and relocated to Singapore in 2011 to drive the growth of business across the region. His early career includes three years in audit and three years in banking finance with Fox-Pitt Kelton, and Barclays.
