Aquis Search, in association with UNISON, held a CV workshop for final year students, as a part of its year long program with the aim of providing career guidance and support to ethnic minority university students residing in Hong Kong. This session followed a meet-and-greet held in January 2017 that aimed at understanding what the students feel would be the biggest challenges they face upon graduation.
The CV workshop was held with a specific aim of assisting students with their post-graduate job applications and CV formatting. The students had the opportunity to gain invaluable advice from experienced Aquis Search consultants. The consultants analysed their CVs and offered them suggestions on how to tailor their CVs to better suit specific sectors and firms they were interested in approaching for future careers.
Miriam Leung, Director at Aquis Search, reported that the workshop was well received and gave a glimpse of what the students will learn when they next meet - “We hope to offer mock interviews in our next session and students will have the opportunity to experience the formal office setting and understand how to better showcase their qualifications and experience.”
