Aquis Search is coming up to its 10th anniversary, and in that time has established itself as a market leading, award-winning executive search firm. With a network of offices across Asia, we are able to provide clients and candidates with a breadth and depth of service that we are proud of. Early last year we moved into the London market with a small team of consultants initially concentrating on building networks and serving our existing Asian clients looking for UK based talent.
We are now pleased to announce that we have entered the next phase of our growth in the market, with the promotion and relocation from Hong Kong of Gareth Rees to UK Managing Director, and the appointment of London based Associate Director James Kent and Robert Joyce and Senior Consultant Dan Lloyd . They have extensive experience of the London market and are in an excellent position to continue supporting our Asian based clients as well as providing an outstanding service offer to local, regional and global businesses with talent requirements in the UK.
Gareth joined Aquis Search in Hong Kong when it was a relatively small boutique firm that had focused on private practice and in-house legal recruitment. Tasked with expanding into finance & accounting, he has successfully built up a team that is one of the largest in Hong Kong. He works with large multinational financial institutions and leading commercial organisations across multiple industry sectors and regions.

James Kent, one of the two newly joined Associate Directors for Aquis Search London, has over 10 years bank and non-bank recruitment experience with a wide array of clients from fin-tech start-ups to fortune 500 organisations. Over the last 5 years James has developed a specialist knowledge of the FX and payments markets working on roles predominantly within the front and middle office functions. James has worked for several successful start-up organisations over the years so the opportunity to work for an established business with ambitious growth plans is a natural move.

Robert Joyce, who also joined as an Associate Director has over fifteen years of experience working within the legal sector and joined Aquis Search to build and expand the legal recruitment offering across EMEA. Robert worked for a number of years as a highly successful Barrister’s Clerk before moving into recruitment. He joins Aquis Search after successfully starting up a solutions practice group for a leading international legal recruiter.

Senior Consultant Daniel Lloyd is an experienced legal recruiter with a portfolio of clients in private practice and in-house teams. He has a very strong track record and a number of years of experience recruiting IP and patent lawyers, and has also studied law himself.
