Job Description
Working in the Regional Tax team, the Senior Specialist, Transfer Pricing serves a pivotal role as a proactive transfer pricing partner for the Group at a regional level. The main responsibilities will involve preparation and maintenance of transfer pricing documentation as well as serving in an advisory role to the business.
Responsibilities:
- Management of transfer pricing documentation, Country-by-Country reporting and notifications for the Group, including the timetable for document preparation and submissions, and liaising with external advisors and colleagues across the Group
- Advise on transfer pricing implications stemming from new business initiatives and plans
- Managing the periodic setting of transfer prices, including partnering with relevant teams to obtain information and reviewing transfer pricing calculations to ensure alignment with transfer pricing arrangements
- Working with stakeholders to prepare and maintain intercompany agreements as well as ensure agreements in place where required
- Support transfer pricing audits, including responding to tax authorities on matters or queries relating to transfer pricing
- Managing ad hoc transfer pricing queries and assisting the business with transfer pricing compliance by determining appropriate methodologies, building transfer pricing models and/or recommending appropriate actions to mitigate transfer pricing risk
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics from an accredited university
- 3-8 years of transfer pricing experience, preferably with significant exposure gained within one of the Big 4 accounting firms
- Good general knowledge of direct and indirect tax issues affecting transfer pricing would be advantageous
- Strong tax research skills with the ability to provide tax recommendations on complex and ambiguous issues in light of commercial realities
- A self-starter, able to work independently in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision, and responds quickly to requests from management and business units
- Highly effective spoken and written communication (both English and Mandarin) to liaise extensively with our stakeholders along with good presentation skills
- Strong analytical, numeracy, organizational and time management skills
- Proficient in excel and word processing
- Good interpersonal relationship skills
- Willing to travel occasionally for business trips
