Our client, a fast growing bank in Hong Kong is looking for a seasoned compliance candidate with strong corporate banking experience to join their expanding team in Hong Kong.

Responsibilities:

  • To provide advice to the stakeholders to meet all the relevant regulatory and legal requirements for the Bbank
  • Provide advice, interpretation and recommendation on existing and new regulatory compliance requirements
  • Conduct gap analysis on major regulatory topics to determine whether the quality of the existing systems/processes of control/arrangement are up to the standards/expectations of head office and regulators  
  • Develop and conduct on-going review of compliance related policies & procedures; identify key issues to be enhanced and rectified
  • Develop and deliver compliance related trainings in enhancing employee’s awareness and knowledge
  • Provide guidance and support to various business units to maintain a high level of compliance awareness
  • Supervise and manage the team to perform daily compliance functions
  • Liaise with local regulators, the senior management and head office on any compliance related matters
  • Handle ad-hoc compliance related projects as assigned by supervisors or management

Requirements:

  • Degree holder preferably with legal, auditing, accounting or related disciplines; professional qualifications such as HKICPA , etc. would be an advantage
  • At least 7 years’ relevant experience in regulatory compliance mainly gained from a banking environment
  • Familiar with corporate lending and transaction banking products
  • Previous  advisory or enforcement experience gained from regulators is an advantage
  • Good knowledge and understanding in banking ordinances, operations, products and services    
  • Strong ability to comprehend relevant laws and regulations professionally, and apply into commercial situation and environment
  • Proficient in both spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese is a MUST)
