Job Description

Brief Overview:

A leading investment bank in Hong Kong is looking for a seasoned compliance candidate to take up a newly created role in the infrastructure advisory compliance team handling outsourcing activities, data analysis and risk assessments for the global market business.

Responsibilities:

  • To provide compliance support to /advise Infrastructure functions on regulatory matters and compliance policies and procedures;
  • Work with global and regional Infrastructure compliance to implement the infrastructure compliance program;
  • To prepare, when necessary, guidance/summary notes on key rules and regulations for delivery to Infrastructure units;
  • Participate and support Infrastructure functions in regulatory projects with compliance impact;
  • To  help identify risk gaps, risk assess gaps identified, provide guidance to remedy issues, and track issues until closure;
  • Collaborate with other compliance teams to resolve issues on hand, in addition, work with the monitoring and controls testing team where control issues have been identified;
  • Prepare relevant training material and train Infrastructure divisions;
  • Advise on the compliance determinations for outsourcing activities

Requirments:

  • Practical experience of working in compliance, risk and control, investment banking experience is a must
  • Generalist compliance experience, preferably from another investment bank or experience of establishing effective control frameworks within infrastructure functions
  • Good knowledge of front office products and understanding of the role of Infrastructure
  • Awareness of relevant regulatory environment changes and their impact on various business / infrastructure activities
  • Proven experience in problem solving, data analysis and working to tight deadlines whilst achieving good quality outputs
  • A positive and flexible approach required to operate in a constantly changing environment
  • Ability to generate innovative ideas, challenge the status quo and deliver effectively
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills proven through report writing experience
