Description

My client is a very well-established financial institutions with massive operations in Hong Kong. As part of the transformation strategy, they are committed to invest on new technologies and now seeking a Head of Cloud Operations to drive continuous improvement and process excellence.

This is a senior role to manage a team of 10+ people including Technical Leads and Engineers.


Responsibilities

Leadership role to manage the company’s cloud platform from design, analysis, implementation and support to ensure highly reliable cloud platform

Manage a team of internal Cloud Engineers with the support from external managed service provider to develop, implement, enhance and operate the cloud platform based on business requirements and technology trends

Responsible for Incident, Change & Problem management for Cloud platform

Lead the development DevOps and Automation changes, and collaborate with application teams to for their service hosting on the Cloud platform

Continuously review and assess the platform capacity and plan for future expansion of services with infrastructure and application teams

Drive continuous improvement and operations excellence of the operating model regularly

Work closely with the managed service teams for escalation and regularly evaluate and assess their performance


Requirements

University degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related disciplines

Minimum 12 years of relevant experience preferably gained from major financial institutions with at least 5 years at managerial level

Solid experience in managing large-scale system infrastructure, such as operating systems, virtualization, network, storage, containers, cloud technologies, etc.

Experienced driving change of process and implement Automation tools and infrastructure-as-a-service, such as Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, etc

Strong experience in maintaining critical infrastructure/platform with a high resilience set up

Strong mentality to ensure the designated service levels are met with solid experience handling problem, incident and change

Demonstrated leadership capabilities with strong commercial acumen and the ability to lead and coach a dynamic team

Familiar with regulatory compliance requirements in financial services industry

Experienced in working with internal and external partners on ISO standards, cyber security assessment and audit

Good analytical, presentation, documentation and report writing skills

Good command in both English, Cantonese & Mandarin
