Karan Sharma serves as a Partner, Asia Pacific at Aquis Search, a leading executive search firm. His specialization lies in the governance function where he covers roles across legal, compliance, company secretarial, finance & HR within the Asia Pacific region.

In his current role, he heads the legal & compliance practice for Southeast Asia and India. Aquis Search, headquartered in Hong Kong, is an award-winning regional executive search firm which prides itself in its global reach and regional delivery.

Karan joined Aquis Search as a Senior Consultant with a 360 remit that involved building a contract and interim desk for legal and compliance professionals in Hong Kong and Singapore. Over the course of eight years, he has earned multiple promotions, led the creation and scaling of several practices, and now serves as a Partner.

He began his executive search career with Progressive GE, part of the FTSE 250-listed SThree group, based in Mumbai. Initially focusing on senior roles in the Oil & Gas sector in the Middle East, he rapidly ascended the career ladder, eventually serving as a founding member of a new team focused on the Asia-Pacific region. Notably, he was the first consultant in the firm to secure multiple deals across three markets—Dubai, Qatar, and Australia—in a single month.
