The Digital Development team seeks a lead software engineer adept at collaborating with various stakeholders to craft digital experiences across desktop and mobile platforms. Proficiency in React for building modern front-end applications is essential, along with a track record of creating scalable, high-performance web apps using contemporary JavaScript methodologies. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for both functionality and design, understanding the artistic aspects of web development such as balance, transition, and motion. They should be well-versed in mobile-first approaches, responsive design principles, and possess expertise in HTML5, CSS3, SCSS, and ensuring cross-browser compatibility.

In this role, the candidate will contribute to the strategic planning and execution of innovative features to enhance companies digital presence. Emphasis will be placed on meticulous code management using GIT and leading a small team through all project stages, from planning to bug fixing. Demonstrated leadership and mentorship skills are crucial for fostering team growth and success within this technology-focused position.

Responsibilities

Engineer and maintain a diverse range of web pages on the companies website, ensuring functionality and performance.

Lead front-end development efforts, employing effective solutions, methodologies, and best practices.

Create innovative interactive design solutions within project timelines and requirements.

Demonstrate expertise in SEO and Accessibility standards, ensuring website optimization and inclusivity.

Collaborate with team members to deliver on new business initiatives and platform enhancements, while also contributing to the development of group methodologies, standards, and best practices.

Requirements

Over 5 years of experience in developing web-based applications, demonstrating a solid foundation in web development.

Proficiency in React, with at least 3 years of experience utilizing ContextAPI, hooks, adhering to best practices, and conducting unit testing.

Strong command of modern JavaScript (ES6+) and familiarity with various web libraries, tools, and frameworks like jQuery, NPM, and JSON.

Competence in handling data retrieval and processing from REST APIs, showcasing practical experience in this domain.

Comprehensive understanding of Responsive Web Design complexities, ensuring seamless user experiences across various devices, including iPad, iPhone, and other mobile platforms adhering to W3C standards. Additionally, adept at version control using GIT, with preference for Azure experience, and a proven ability to mentor team members at different skill levels, coupled with effective task management and clear communication skills. Bonus: Experience with CMS, particularly Adobe Experience Manager, is advantageous.

Work Environment: Hybrid setup (3 days in/ 2 days out) with flexibility in timings.
