Description
A global asset manager is hiring a Legal Associate in Mumbai. The role involves supporting the legal department with regulatory filings, fund documentation, and onboarding tasks across global jurisdictions.

Responsibilities

Handle paralegal deliverables such as:

ISDA and FCM agreement documentation

Maintenance of MFN and IMA trackers

Updates to delegation and participating affiliate agreements

Form D, Blue Sky, Form PF, and Form ADV filings

Manage documentation and support fund launches and SMA onboardings

Coordinate sub-advised mutual fund certifications and related deliverables

Provide legal input for RFPs

Assist senior attorneys across various legal and compliance functions

Requirements

Minimum 3 years of legal experience

Preference for candidates with asset management background

Experience with U.S. private and/or registered funds preferred

Familiarity with Cayman Islands structures is a plus
