Seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to lead legal initiatives in Germany for a leading multinational pharmaceutical company, providing strategic advice and support across business units while contributing to European-level legal projects.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic legal advice to German business units, serving as the primary legal partner to various department heads.

Actively engage as a member of the German leadership team, offering strategic legal guidance to enable business decisions.

Support contract drafting and negotiation for various agreements, ensuring compliance with regulations and providing training on legal policies.

Review promotional materials and advise on local market access, tender processes, and legal implications.

Lead local aspects of corporate projects, including legal integration, M&A due diligence, and new business initiatives.

Assist HR with employment-related matters and support new business ventures like medical devices and biosimilar launches.

Requirements

German-educated Lawyer with over 12 years of in-house legal counsel experience in a global company based in Germany.

Expertise in complex business transactions and legal entity management, particularly within the pharmaceutical or medical devices industry.

Strong understanding of regulatory environments in pharmaceuticals or medical devices, complemented by proven project management skills.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence diverse stakeholders, including executive management.

Fluent in German and English; additional European language proficiency preferred.
